WHEN "LESS" IS "MORE"
There
is a strange addiction to
more...more...more in our society today...this need to accumulate is
not improving our lives; rather it is bringing the quality of our lives
down...down...down.
Our
lives would be so much easier if we focused on getting rid of things instead
of accumulating things. By definition, our addiction to "more"
creates a need to work so hard that true enjoyment of life becomes
impossible. There is no time to stop and smell the proverbial roses. We
become prisoners of responsibility. We struggle to relax. We work so hard on
the upkeep of our lives that we have little time for pleasure and play. Our
self-created burdens are very heavy, indeed. As quoted in 'End the Struggle
and Dance with Life'
Susan Jeffers....
'The clutter in
our lives makes us feel as though we are going through life carrying a
watermelon and an overloaded suitcase! It's time to drop these tremendous
weights and learn how to live in the freedom that simplicity allows.'
Yes, we are certainly blessed
when we have 'enough'. But enough doesn't seem to be enough! It's
interesting that we a put a premium on 'filling' our lives. But so many of us have missed the point. It
makes for a much richer life to let go of the external trappings that smother
us and instead 'fill' our lives with those riches that take us to a higher
place. It is not about filling our lives with 'stuff', but filling our lives
with those experiences that bring us joy, peace and fulfillment. Raising our standard of living is
truly about accumulating less and enjoying more!
One way we can break our
addiction to more...more...more is to begin giving all the excess 'stuff'
away. You ultimately feel lighter and fresher and better able to see what you
really need. So look around and start giving things away. Make a game
out of it and discard as many unnecessary 'weights' as you can in your home
and office. Use and
enjoy that which enriches your life; let go of that which is just excess
baggage. You will be surprised at how much excess baggage
you will be giving away! And something very important to think about: You will be doing so much to help
the survival of the planet as you consume less...less...less.
That should be enough of a grand motivator to get us all going!
So starting
today...together...lets all begin dropping ' the watermelon and the
overloaded suitcase' and enter the world of less...less...less. We'll be
helping ourselves and the world in so many ways.
Chywanprash
Chywanprash
is Ayurveda's primary formula for boosting immunity and is a natural antidote
to the stresses of modern day living.
Ayurveda classifies certain herbs as rasayana or rejuvenating because
they promote vitality, increase resilience, improve complexion and help keep body
and mind feeling young. Chywanprash is the ultimate rasayana tonic
containing a combination of 35 of Ayurveda's foremost herbs, including amla
or Indian gooseberry, one of the richest sources of natural vitamin C. High
in antioxidants, the herbs have been specially chosen to harmonise all the
systems in the body making the formula beneficial for all doshas or body
types.
Chywanprash has been used for centuries to help families stay healthy year
round. It's cleansing action works throughout the body gently drawing out
toxins. Chywanprash provides excellent nourishment, promoting good digestion
and healthy functioning of the heart and liver. It strengthens the lungs,
helping ward off coughs and colds and is great for kids too.
Essential Ayurveda use
only fresh amla (Indian gooseberry) in their Chywanprash.

In Why is God Laughing?,
Deepak Chopra uses a lighthearted yet profound parable to show us a path
to hope, joy and enlightenment, with a lot of laughter along the way.
After telling the story of fictional friends Mickey and Francisco, Deepak
explores the lessons of the tale, namely his principles of spiritual
optimism, or ten reasons to be optimistic, even in the midst of chaos and
uncertainty. Rich with humour and advice, Why is God Laughing?
shows that there is always a reason to be grateful, and that every
possibility holds the potential for abundance. This refreshing take on
spirituality shows us why laughter from the heart is the healthiest
response to life. We're sure that Deepak Chopra fans will love this book,
and, if you haven't read any of his books yet, now is the ideal time to
start.

If there is to be Peace in the
world,
There must be Peace in
the nations.
If there is to be
Peace in the nations,
There must be Peace in
the cities.
If there is to be
Peace in the cities,
There must be Peace
between neighbours.
If there is to be
Peace between neighbours,
There must be Peace in
the home.
If there is to be
Peace in the home,
There must be Peace in
the Heart.
