Welcome to the first Awakenings newsletter, which I hope will be of
interest to you. I am very excited to have this opportunity to share
some thoughts as well as keep you informed about classes.

The Pig
is the animal in the Chinese 60 year Zodiac that completes the cycle. 2007
adds up to a 9 (2+0+0+7). This indicates that it is a year of completion so
we may need to resolve and let go of that which no longer serves us, in
order to sow our new seeds for the future.
Pig
energy is very gracious, uplifting, self-less and non-discriminating. This
is the time to tune into your inner muse to reflect, keep a journal or
draw, dance, sing and laugh. Inner faculties will develop as we learn to
listen to our deep inner knowing. As well as being peaceful, the energy of
the pig loves to socialise and connect with kindred spirits.
It is
time to focus on what is REALLY important in life, this year!

Flow Into Spring
|

I hope
this year so far has brought you many gifts and opportunities to know
yourself better and cope with life's challenges more skillfully. Each
season draws our attention back to ourselves to reflect; it makes us pause
to review our lives.
All
things in life are impermanant and the only constant is change. When we get
'stuck' and resist change, we are in opposition to the natural flow of
life. Avoiding change prevents us from discovering tranformative
opportunities. So make space, accept and stay open to the exciting
possibilities awaiting you in your life.
- Use your yoga to practise letting go resistance,
both physical and emotional. Sit quietly with yourself and practise
being a silent witness allowing thoughts to arise and dissolve.
- Practice 'Saucha'
- physical and mental purification which helps to
improve our self-awareness and brings more clarity about our
intentions. A clear space lifts our self-esteem and allows
manifestation of good experiences.
Open yourself fully to the light,
warmth and revitalizing energy of Spring.

programme of Adult and
Teenage Classes will be starting in April 2007.
